The Polini Thor 202 engine was born from the experience gained with the Thor 200 engines and from the request for an engine that is more powerful and lighter but at the same time guarantees greater thermal stability.
The solution adopted by Polini to reach all the objectives foresees the use of liquid cooling, a technology tested on the award-winning Thor 250.
The new Thor 202 differs in the extraordinary weight reduction.
Compared to the Thor 200 HF, it is 1.6 kg lighter, although it has a liquid cooling system and is 4 HP more powerful.
The torque curve is optimised especially at low rpm and guarantees lower fuel consumption and more comfort in flight, in addition to exceptional thermal stability.
